This stunning 5ct solid Crystal Opal is from the home of opals - Lightning Ridge, New South Wales, Australia.
 
Cut and polished in our workshop, this stunning piece contains a myriad of flashing colours.  As a piece for all occasions, the colours can be adjusted by the background colour.  The first photos are on a backdrop of black felt, showing glorious flashes of red and blue.  In the other photos, the background of raw host rock highlights a more subtle blend of colours.  
 
We have set this piece in a 9ct gold, claw pendant setting.

Important Note:  This piece is transluscent and the variety and depth of colour it displays will vary depending on the background colour.  A white background is least reflective and will not allow this piece to show its full beauty.
